Quinta do Quetzal’s single variety Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes grown on higher altitude parts of the estate. At the higher altitudes we have a terroir consisting of slate and maximum sun exposure. The increased difference in temperature, between day and night and the altitude level gives an extra layer of complexity to the wine. The grapes are hand-picked and subsequently crushed within the hour on top of our modern winery and find their way down by the force of gravity towards the cellar. Quetzal Cabernet Sauvignon is a genuine full body Cabernet, well-structured with dry tannins.
