Quinta do Quetzal’s single variety Verdelho is made from grapes grown on the lower altitude parts of the estate. At lower altitudes we find cooler conditions and more fertile soils. The grapes are hand-picked and are kept in a cooled cellar for 24 hours. After this important step the grapes are crushed on top of our modern winery and find their way down by the force of gravity towards the cellar. Quetzal Verdelho is a well-balanced wine characterized by its’s beautiful long finish.
