Quetzal Art Center is proud to exhibit all flags from the project Four Flags Lisbon.
Four Flags Lisbon was a partnership between a Portuguese publisher, Taffimai and independent project space Galeria Zé dos Bois. The project started in Amsterdam conceptualized by Julia Mullié and Nick Terra. The idea was born under the urgency of these new times as sharing art in public space.
36 artists were invited to design a flag that was displayed in the summer of 2020, on the facade of ZDB Gallery, where four fags were launched every Friday, over a three-month period. Other cities where the project happened were Sâo Paulo, Bogotá, Chicago, Lisbon, New Delhi and several cities in Belgium.
