Quinta do Quetzal Família White 2014 is a remarkable expression of the estate's dedication to excellence, crafted exclusively from Antão Vaz grapes and produced only in exceptional years.
This iconic wine originates from the Vinha do Coronel, the oldest vineyard on our estate. The grapes were hand-harvested, lightly crushed, and gently pressed before undergoing fermentation in new French oak barrels of 500 liters. The wine aged for 18 months in these barrels with regular bâtonnage, followed by an additional 24 months in the bottle. This meticulous process yields a deep, rich color and an elegant bouquet of ripe apricots and fig, enhanced by subtle oak and a hint of spice.
On the palate, Quinta do Quetzal Familia 2014 offers a full-bodied, well-structured prole with a velvety texture, balanced minerality, and a long, persistent finish.
